Registration to modules is online only. The only way you can be registered to a full module is if there are no other options available on your particular stream. Online registration remains open until 5pm on Friday 7th October and it is possible that places will become available on other modules as students drop and swap modules. You are advised to keep a close check on the registration system so that you may select a place should one become available, and to drop the unsuitable module so that places may free up in others. The School does not operate a wait list for modules.

Students can seek assistance from their College Offices in relation to general registration and credit queries.

Please submit requests via the 'late submission of coursework' form on your module's Brightspace page. Late submission requests are not accepted by email, through this website or through informal arrangements with tutors or lecturers.

All late submission requests will require supporting doccumentation and this must be submitted within five days of the request.

If you are having difficulties accessing the Brightspace classrooms there are a number of steps you can take. Please reference this guide before reaching out to the faculty or staff members of the School of Sociology or UCD IT Services.

 Ensure all operating systems updates have been installed.
 Ensure your browser is up to date.
 Close all unnecessary or ancillary applications eg: browsing tabs, Netflix, Spotify etc.
 Clear your browsers cache and cookies.

 Check the security settings to see if a firewall is preventing your access.
 Where possible, connect to your internet using an ethernet cable instead of using WiFi.
 Be conscious of other devices using the same network at the same time, as this can overload the overall network coverage.
 Make sure your charger is connected and plugged in if using a portable device.
